Workshops

About Workshops

Our shows typically combine influences from both modern theatre classics and film/television to produce energetic, accessible, thought-provoking dramas infused with dark comedy. Our target audience age is 14 plus and as such, our work is ideally suited to a younger demographic, particularly those studying drama/performance courses. ‘Owdyado are a Resident Company of Hall For Cornwall (Cornwall’s leading arts venue). We regularly work with Hall For Cornwall Youth Theatre and have run numerous successful workshops with young people (GCSE/A level students) in schools and colleges across the UK. We offer both pre-designed workshops and bespoke packages to schools, colleges and universities. These workshops can be on general performance skills or linked in with specific projects depending on the syllabus.

“I highly recommend Charlotte and Dan from ‘Owdyado Theatre for drama workshops in schools. They have an abundance of energy and they are truly inspiring, dynamic practitioners. They plan the workshop to every child’s needs and they encourage self-confidence and a safe environment in which to develop imagination, co-operative skills and creativity.
We also thoroughly enjoyed working on the script From Cornwall to the Cosmos that ‘Owdyado wrote for the KEAP Cornwall Secondary Drama Conference as it was so well written and a joy to direct. Our students loved every minute of bringing it to life and were very proud of their achievements. Working with Charlotte and Dan is always a pleasure: they are not only superb actors but wonderful drama facilitators too.”
